Dove awards is one of the biggest gospel music awards in the world, it is usually organized by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States. The association has recently announced the miners for the 51st annual GMA dove music awards, and “Way Maker” has been nominated in there categories.
“Way Maker” was nominated for Song of the Year, Spanish Language recorded song of the year, and Worship recorded along of the year. This will be the first time that any Nigerian gospel artist is making it to the top category.
Sinach has been one of the most successful Nigerian gospel artists over the years, and she releases songs with inspirations and powers. The song, “Way Maker” was released first in 2016, but recently but recently became famous when it was sang by the Elevation Worship and other Christian rock bands.
Talking about the song, she says, “It is encouraging to see how my songs have become impactful in the lives of many who listen to me. Way Maker was written when I was facing a challenge, and it became a source of encouragement.”
The winners of the GMA will be announced on TBN on October 30, and due to COVID-19 restriction of moving, the show will consist of pre-recorded performances and acceptance speeches.” GMA president, Jackie Patillo said in a statement.
