A year after losing to Angelina Kidjo, Burna Boy comes back to win the Grammy Awards.
At the 63rd edition of The Grammy Awards, Nigerian International music star, Burna Boy beat other superstars such as Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen to win the ‘Best Global Music Award’ category.
This is the same category he lost to star musician, Angelina Kidjo at the last edition of the award. This time around, he emerged as the worthy winner of the catgory.
Many Nigerian music lovers have since taken to social media platforms to celebrate this milestone. In a similar light, Wizkid also won his first Grammy for his collaboration with Beyonce in the song, ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
It is truly a big one, and we expect more of this. Congratulations to Burna Boy and Wizkid for this milestone in their careers.
