Rebecca ‘Nengi’ Hampson is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who hails from Bayelsa state. She studied Communications at the University of Port Harcourt and is a proud Capricorn. Nengi, as she likes to be called, is a former model and MBGN Top 5 contestant. She loves learning new things, traveling, having fun, taking on new adventures, and being true to herself.

People do not agree with this last part of her, ‘being true to myself,’ as there are a lot of reactions about her age. It has been gathered that in 2017 when she contested for the most beautiful girl in Nigeria, she said she was 23, now she’s claiming to be 22.

Here are some of the reactions,

Aramide said, “Lobatan, Nengi brought football age.”

“Right from miss peace and tourism, her age no dey increase. She did MBGN twice with the same age” – Beryl

“I just saw her face, and I was, she’s 23? Hmmm, okay, o. If there’s football age, then there’s BBnaija age” – Antonie.

“She do MBGN for 2017 as 23 years old, now for BBN 2020, she be 22? Wonderful stuff” – Sayolroko.

“I don know that babe from our uniport days since 2013. She won one Queen of Trust pageant in 2013. The lie dey make my head pain me, but all the same, we move. Nengi for the money sha” – Missybenny.

In an interview, she said one new habit she learned during the lockdown is the ability to talk to herself and enjoy the conversation. Her words to live by are, “Live and let live.” She also stated that her biggest achievement was getting her BSc. In her words, “so many times, I should have dropped out, but I persevered.”

She has been elected as the first head of house in the big brother Naija house, after defeating other contestants in the challenge. She chose Florence ‘Wathoni’ Anyansi, her fellow housemate, as her deputy.
